ARIZONA RECAP
As you know, we played two dates in Arizona last month and a great time was had by all! Thank you to The Lost Leaf in Phoenix for letting us rock your establishment, and to Dana House and her crew at The Quarry Bisbee for the hospitality and very fun night at the first Alice In Bisbeeland festival! You can find photos and videos documenting our experience on our Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages.

SEE NO EVIL REVIEWS
April brought two more reviews of our 7” single SEE NO EVIL B/W DEAR PRUDENCE! Thank you to Mitchell Hillman at Phoenix’s Sounds Around Town, and Ant Standring at Gonzo Reviews.

“’See No Evil’ has this great Mod jazz groove that sounds like they’ve been listening to deeper cuts from ’60s pop and soul records–like the kind of swing Paul Weller got into right before launching Style Council, but with Deborah Gee on vocals. It’s a fantastically refreshing single, because not a lot of people are making music that sounds so authentically pulled out of the time. They sound like The Cherry Bluestorms, but like The Cherry Bluestorms recorded at Muscle Shoals fifty years ago.” – Read the rest here.

“The Cherry Bluestorms (TCB) are a US band whose inspired sound is unashamedly borne of the brilliance of our very own bygone 60’s Britpop era; the fact that the greater recognition they deserve remains predominantly unrealized is a real injustice to the band, their regal song writing and yes, their already prestigious past in the world of popular music.” – Read the rest here.

LOOKING AHEAD
We are honored to have been asked back to perform at San Diego’s Art Around Adams festival again for the third year in a row! Come see us at Kensington Park’s Playground Stage at 4 PM on Saturday, June 3… Just a few days after our return from abroad. We also look forward to getting WHIRLIGIG! completed and into your hands. Stay tuned for news about an exclusive event at which we will premiere Whirligig! with a live performance of the entire album! We’ve been busy little Bluestorms and we’re excited to share what we’ve been working on with the world!
